Legal
Terms & conditions.
Last updated: August 2026. These terms cover your use of the GOLSZ app and your GOLSZ account.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating a GOLSZ account or otherwise using the GOLSZ app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use GOLSZ.
2. About GOLSZ
GOLSZ is an AI-powered network for athletes, coaches, scouts, agents, and physios, operated from Nicosia, Cyprus. It includes an athlete profile ("Passport"), an AI assistant ("Scout") that provides guidance and recommendations, tools for tracking development and recruiting outreach, and paid plans with expanded features. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
3. Eligibility and age
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to create your own GOLSZ account. If you are 16 or older, you may create and control your own account. If the athlete is under 16, they may not independently create or control an account — a parent or legal guardian must create the account, and the athlete's profile exists as data managed within that parent's account, not as a separate login the child controls. If you are creating or managing an account on behalf of a club, agency, or other organization, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
4. Parent/guardian responsibility
If you create and manage an account on behalf of an athlete under 16, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for reviewing what's shared or made public through that profile, and for any activity on that account, including any subscription charges. You can request deletion of the managed profile and its data at any time.
5. Subscriptions and billing
GOLSZ offers four tiers — Free, Basic, Pro and Elite — with Basic, Pro and Elite billed monthly through Stripe in euro (EUR). Current prices are shown on the GOLSZ homepage and in the app before you subscribe. Payment is processed and stored entirely by Stripe — GOLSZ never receives your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can downgrade to Free at any time from Settings; downgrading in-app changes what the account can access going forward but does not, by itself, cancel or refund an already-active paid subscription — to stop billing or request a refund, use the receipt email Stripe sends you, or contact us and we'll assist. [Legal review advised] a concrete refund policy (e.g. pro-rated, no-refund, or statutory EU 14-day distance-selling withdrawal handling for digital services) should be defined explicitly rather than left to case-by-case handling.
6. Payment failures
If a renewal payment fails, we may flag your account and ask you to update your payment method; we don't cut off access on the first failed charge, since card issuers and Stripe's own retry process often resolve this automatically. If payment ultimately cannot be collected and Stripe closes out the subscription, your account reverts to the Free plan.
7. The AI assistant (Scout) — limitations
Scout provides AI-generated guidance, suggestions, and information to help with athletic development and recruiting. Scout's responses are generated by a third-party AI model and, like any AI system, can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Scout is not a substitute for professional coaching, medical, legal, or financial advice, and its suggestions (including anything related to opportunities, contacts, or outreach) should be independently verified before you rely on them. Usage of Scout may be limited by your plan (e.g. a daily question allowance) and by abuse-prevention limits that apply regardless of plan.
8. Your content and conduct
You retain ownership of the profile information, images, and posts you submit to GOLSZ. By posting or uploading content, you grant GOLSZ a license to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the service (for example, showing your profile to people you share it with, or including your post in the feed). You agree not to use GOLSZ to harass, threaten, or endanger others; post spam, scams, or fraudulent opportunities; impersonate someone else; upload content you don't have the right to share; or attempt to bypass GOLSZ's safety, rate-limiting, or moderation systems. We use a combination of automated checks and human review to enforce this, and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate it — with extra care around content involving or directed at minors.
9. Reporting, verification, and appeals
You can report content or accounts you believe violate these terms. If your content is removed, your account is restricted, or a verification request is denied, you can submit an appeal for review. We aim to review appeals promptly but don't guarantee a specific timeframe. [Legal review advised] a defined appeal-response SLA should be set once operational capacity is confirmed.
10. Intellectual property
The GOLSZ name, wordmark, and app design (excluding your own content and any third-party trademarks referenced for illustrative purposes) are the property of GOLSZ or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without permission, other than in the ordinary course of using the app.
11. Account termination
You can delete your own account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your account, profile, and uploaded content. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, poses a safety risk, or where we're required to do so by law. Deleting a parent's account does not delete a managed under-16 athlete's account or data; that must be deleted separately.
12. Disclaimers
GOLSZ is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee that Scout's guidance will lead to any particular outcome (e.g. a trial, contract, or scholarship), or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GOLSZ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated guidance or content posted by other users. [Legal review advised] a liability cap and any statutory carve-outs that can't be limited under EU/Cyprus consumer-protection law should be confirmed with counsel.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above, and where appropriate we'll notify account holders directly.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
